is a black owned family business. We take down all braids, sew-ins, locs, & twists. We launched our business in November of 2021 after many years of experience. No one enjoys spending hours or days taking down an old hairstyle - so let us do it for you!

Please text us (205-578-1860), if you need an appointment outside of normal business hours or if you need to get in immediately. We try to adjust our schedule to accommodate yours.

Booking Policy! PLEASE READ!
Please book within 48 hours of desired time. Same day, squeeze - ins, and day before appointments may be available for an additional price, please inquire via text. Please also inform us of any cancellations within 24 hours (via text if unable to cancel online).
Please communicate if you will be late to your appointment.
After 15 minutes there is a $10 late fee. An Additional $5 is added at 25 mintues. Anything after 30 minutes your appointment will be cancelled and there is a $10 booking fee to reschedule (this does not go towards your total amount).
All appointments require a $15 deposit that is nonrefundable (this goes towards your total amount).
The location address will be provided with your booking confirmation text.
ALL APPOINTMENTS REQUIRE A TEXT CONFIRMATION TO BE BOOKED SUCCUESSFULLY.
Take downs do not include a wash but can be added on for an additional price which includes a wash, condition, and blow dry.
At Sit Down Take Down, we prioritize the health of your hair. To maintain the integrity and health of your hair, styles worn longer than 3 months will incur a $50 detangling fee due to the additional time and care required. Extended wear often leads to increased buildup, shedding, and tangling which requires additional time and care to safely take down your style. Please come prepared for this adjustment if your style has been in beyond 3 months.
LENGTH POLICY!
Please note that all listed service prices are based on shoulder-length hair and shorter. Longer hair requires additional time, patience, and care to ensure a clean, healthy take down. Hair exceeding this length will incur additional fees due to increased time needed.
For lengths beyond shoulder, the following ad-Ons apply:
Armpit length: +$20
Mid back length: +$40
Waist Length: + $60
Long Hair = Extra Time and Extra Love
Final pricing will be confirmed at the time of the appointment if done so via text. We are committed to delivering quality results, and pricing reflects the level of detail required.
